Hi! I’m Alyssa Meyer.

I've been working with tech  for over 20 years.

I started with troubleshooting my own items in my own home, whether they belonged to me or someone else. I gradually branched out to helping others.

My first experience was helping on the Apple discussion forums, back in July 2003. Those forums are still running today with the help of many other volunteers like myself.

Through college, I continued to volunteer my time on the Apple Discussion forums. While taking classes at the local technical college, I collaborated with my classmates to start a student-run technology helpdesk. We provided free hardware and software support to current students and staff. We focused on personal devices, and we used a Microsoft Access database to keep track of our customers and their issues.

I was one of the lucky folks to obtain full time employment within 2 years of completing my degree.

I have nearly 15 years of professional experience. In those years I have met a wide variety of people. 

Some people are willing to explore on their own, to find new things and learn as they go. I enjoy collaborating with these people, as we both learn something new in each conversation!

Others prefer guidance from someone with experience. The ability to recognize you need support is very important, and I welcome opportunities to provide that support.
